Title:
fails to build on 4.6 kernel
To manage notifications about this
Hoped I could help by searching the attachments for libcgi, found none,
Only reference to a libc was libcgmanager in these three attachments.
DpkgTerminalLog.txt
DpkgHistoryLog.txt
AptOrdering.txt
I know, I think, that lib stands for library, beyond that, no clue.

I should add I was having trouble installing Samba on this three
computer, two printer home LAN [a Dell printer on a win10 machine
scotched the more simple option.].
On this particular Ubuntu machine I had 14.04, and in the middle of this
thought perhaps taking advantage of the 16.04 upgrade
Apport-bug opened Bug #1615750 open in the Ubuntu samba package: package
samba-common 2:4.3.9+dfsg-0ubuntu0.16.04.2 project, somewhere around the
midpoint of the upgrade process.
Do the functions of the three libcgi-pm-perl files referenced above have
anything to do with the samba-common
This is the first time I have tried installing Samba or any LAN for a
long while, so bare with me. I want to help and learn this new stuff
along the way.
By "local samba configuration that might indicate" are you talking about
snb.conf or something beyond that like log files? Where are log files
boilerplate problem. Of course this is bug #1615771
I had mistakenly first posted this problem in Ubuntu-doc #356282 where Manfred
Hampl's questions have been very helpful.
His last question helped me realize what I had left out here. Sorry for
any confusion.
Can I use apt-get to download
Ack, I left out how I proved my my conclusion above.
I copied the failed to fetch addresses into into the address bar of Firefox ie:
and received:
"404 not found The requested URL
each of the current fetch paths return a 404 error.
I went to
http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/libc/libcgi-pm-perl/
to find the correct paths.
Is there any workaround in the meantime?

This could also be an error in the distribution package, however, my
attempts to make the link have failed.

I am entering this bug on a different machine due to the unstable state

fetching three libgci files in wrong directory in
us.archive.ubuntu.com
causes partiatal upgrade
I got only the "some packages did not ..." "System might be unusable"
messages. Since I am not experienced in Ubuntu I do not know what to do
to get more specific information. Nor do I have a workaround. Afraid to
reboot.
