Thanks for the patch. I have been testing it and it is definitely a big
improvement over the current version. I have not found any problems when -y is
enabled, but I only have a US layout so I am not the best person to test this.
There is one bug that still remains rdesktop -K host
I think I might have a fix for this. I would like to include this in
Lucid but obviously it is going to need some testing before hand. The
way it currently stands is obviously not acceptable for a LTS version. I
would appreciate if people would try this version out and give me
feedback.

Firstly, I don't see a difference in the XB-Npp-MimeType lines
that show up in the diff, am I missing something, or is it just whitespace?

Actually I have never actually packaged anything from scratch before.

I have removed the chown lines from debian/postinst as they are present in the
init script and unnecesary.
No the init scrip does not have a dpkg-statoverride check

I have merged this package and attached the debdiff for debian ubuntu I alsu

I am not sure why debian/postinst contains these lines which are causing
the error:
if ! dpkg-statoverride --list /var/run/uml-utilities /dev/null; then
chown uml-net:uml-net /var/run/uml-utilities
fi
I removed these lines and rebuilt the package locally. When I attempted
to replicate
I realized I messed up on the change log so I have rebuilt and am
reattaching the diffs.
