Suggested workaround until the bug is fixed here:
https://jira.appcelerator.org/browse/APSTUD-7816
Essentially, start eclipse with
-Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.DefaultType=mozilla.

I have the same problem. Restarting pulseaudio or reload of alsa (as

short while until it stops (again). I've tested with the stock 13.04

At least I'm on 3.5.0-4 as well (on x64). But I suspect most people are

that's how I believe I got it. The only reason I did add the xorg-edgers

On Unity 3D it seems the HUD is somewhat connected to task/window

I'm affected by the same, on a Radeon system. Sounds like it's more
desktop related than the graphics driver.

For my case, I think it was related to the proprietary ATI drivers
(fglrx), suggested by Ubuntu after installing. I said go ahead, and

that the proprietary drivers were used after the next boot. That's when

I do not think it has been fixed; I can't know for sure, but even my

I've checked the power settings; looks fine (set to don't suspend

I hate the Atheros wireless cards. I've met this problem on so many

Update on my problems; on further inspection the driver is probably not
the reason why the speakers do not work. I rebooted into Windows, and I

FWIW, on my oneiric 3.0rc6 kernel, there's still no sound without
running the hda-verb command (or the hda_analyzer equivalent I guess).
I've added David's ppa repo, so I see the package gets updated
automatically from time to time, so I'll assume I'm also running the
latest fixes, whatever

I think I'm no longer the best test subject, as I speedily had to
upgrade to a oneiric kernel (ubuntu rc4) to have stable wifi before
leaving for vacation (I'm literally testing this while lying beside the

But on that kernel, I tested anyway, and it does not seem to make a
difference.
@David, I tested both without and with headphones plugged in and got no

from the mic (I made some sounds which didn't seem to register in any

I can confirm that the brightness fix works, and that audio also works
