In comment 19 I said that this was fixed by an _upgrade_ from 10.04LTS
to 12.04LTS. It was _not_ fixed by an update of 10.04LTS and the bug is
still existing in 10.04LTS.

As previously written, a single time where I tested with 2.6.32-59-lucid
I saw a kernel backtrace on screen. However, I couldn't make the crash
kernel install with this kernel and Netconsole was unfortunately
uninstalled during that test, so I did not capture the backtrace and

fit-pc2 on Ubuntu 10.04
I am experiencing the exact same problem with Ubuntu 10.04 and fit-pc2.
If I saturate the network bandwidth -- e.g. by copying files using rsync
-- then after a while (10-20 seconds) the network connection to the
machine is lost.
I just reproduced it and after 5 minutes the network interface has
