When you debug a node.js application by running:
$ node --inspect main.js
...then in the latest versions of node inspector it prints an URL to
chrome devtools, similar to:

I also thought it was issue #172 at first but applying that patch didn't help
much for me. What did help was this one:

The -dbgsym package installs an alternate copy of the shotwell binary
(in /usr/lib/debug/usr/bin/shotwell) and this version contains full
debug information. When you launch Shotwell normally I don't think it
will affect performance. You can always uninstall the -dbgsym package
when you're done
FWIW, the dbus sigabrt is a g_assert in the package libdbus-glib-1-2. The
source location (for the lucid version) is:

I bet the papercut team would reject it as-is on the grounds that it's
not trivial to fix. In case someone finds the upstream compiz commit
that fixes it, cherry picking that commit might be trivial enough to
merit a papercut though.

I was looking for the symbols viewer plugin and didn't find it at first
but on recent versions of Ubuntu like Karmic etc the plugin is included
in the kate package but it's just not activated by default, so you
need to open check the checkbox at Settings::Configure

I've switched from the outdated synergy packaged that Lucid provides to
synergy-plus, but that synergy fork also exhibits this particular bug. Since
the real synergy upstream has ceased all development and bugfixing I reported
the bug to synergy-plus. The bug report at _that_ upstream is
btw, launchpad bug 385529 is a wishlist item that requests the the
synergy Ubuntu/Debian package should be replaced by the latest version
from the synergy-plus upstream.

At least add some text saying Please wait while ubiquity scans your
HDD or something. I pressed cancel twice when I originally ran into
this because I thought it was a bug or something. It was not until I
monitored it with iotop that I figured out that this was actually
intended behavior.

I know we had one of those Repair Windows installation items in the
network boot menu, however I can't remember if I ran it before trying
dd or not (maybe I did but in that case it didn't fix the problem).
I'm sorry, I can't remember for sure. As such, I suppose the value of
this bug report is
I dunno, it was a regular clean Windows Server 2008 install (it never
asks about static vs dynamic partition, what is that?). I guess it was
at the start of the drive by default and I don't remember if I moved it
but I don't think so.
Also note that I no longer have access to any Windows machines
Shotwell 0.5.0 has removed the HAL dependency. This version has also
been tested extensively with Lucid pre-release. There is an open bug
requesting to sync ubuntu shotwell with Debian unstable where 0.5.0 is
already packaged; see 539009.

ebassi posted some interesting info on the upstream GNOME bug now; about
both GTK client side decorations (nice but won't completely solve this
problem for all apps though) and also that upstream compiz have
transitioned to reparenting of the window inside a frame which will
probably solve this
I just tried to raise the capture volume above 84 now and it works well.
I guess it's the upgrade to karmic that fixed it.

In particular synergy bug 420088 (from jaunty and upwards) and bug
486922 (from karmic and upwards) gives users a ghastly experience with
synergy, and there is no upstream at all so these bug will not be fixed;
I think those bugs alone are enough to drop synergy from both Debian
and Ubuntu and

I recently bought a Canon Legria HF200 which I'm using with Ubuntu for
family video and some YouTube stuff, it produces AVCHD like most other
HD cams which means I get a .mts file with H.264 video codec and on my
cam also AC3 audio codec. I've been successfully using this cam to

I just his this libgail crasher in pre-release lucid (using wireshark).
Repro steps for my crash is similar to what you described above (my bug

Chris, does this need to go upstream or is it just an Ubuntu packaging
bug?
In case someone needs a workaround for this bug. Just open
System::Preferences::Keyboard and tick the checkbox called Key presses
repeat when key is held down. And in the same dialog set the Delay
and Speed sliders so
