Tested on a Dell netbook (1024x600) and a Macbook Pro (1920x1200). Seems
to work very well on both, some minor jpeg compression artifacts are
still visible, but to much lesser extent than previously. Overall, the
background is much smoother.
Would be good if someone could also test it at 16bpp

The connection is established properly and signal is strong, yet I
cannot access any website or other network service. Using Huawei 160G on
3 Mobile Broadband (UK). Worked like a charm in Jaunty, so it looks like
a regression.

It's important for all indicator icons to be consistent, but we should
only change this icon if it does not affect other places where the icon
may already appear (like the preferences menu). So if the indicator icon
is a separate icon, we can change it, but only after its design is
approved.

A good place to discuss the alternative solutions would be the Ayatana
mailing list (ayat...@lists.launchpad.net). Mark Shuttleworth made a
decision to go for the pre-allocated slot to solve few problems:
- inconsistency in terms of where each bubble appears (predictability)
- uncover the Firefox

pcspkr and snd_pcsp *are* in the blacklist.conf, and yet I am getting
the beep sound. This is a serious issue that will affect many users
(Dell Mini 9 is a very popular model that was available with Hardy
preinstalled) and a regression.

The login button is visibly smaller than the cancel button. It also
has a glow around it, while the cancel button doesn't.
