The problem is that in the command you entered /home in the directory
path to the file to be recovered. If you read the documentation for
ext3grep it notes that since the filesystem has no idea where the
partition is mounted you need to skip adding the mount point so try
something like:
ext3grep

Just did an update from kubuntu 9.10 to kubuntu 10.04 and had no sound
after the upgrade. I checked my /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf and had
something along the lines of snd-hda-intel model=dell since I have a
dell laptop so i changed that
