Same here. Not only section but also the tls-cipher setting
from my .ovpn config file were ignored.

I am having a very similar problem on Arch Linux: Since upgrading xorg-
intel driver from 2.7 to 2.8, the X server does not start when an
external monitor is connected to my laptop, and some segfault message
appears in Xorg.0.log. Downgrading to 2.7 again solved the issue.

The hotkeys are working fine; however, the lenovo-sl-laptop module does
also enable fan control which is not possible with asus-laptop. This is
quite important since a lot of the Lenovo SL series laptops seem to have
firmware bugs (or, at least, annoyances) causing the fan to run
unnecessarily
Status update: The upgrade to 2.6.38-8-generic did not resolve the
issue, and also shows that just having the carl9710-firmware does NOT
suffice, I had to again compile the compat-wireless modules for the new

found out that I had to install the firmware for carl9170, which is
supposed to be the successor of the (now deprecated) ar9170usb driver.

the machine is a PC (amd64), not virtual. All I said before was regarding SSH
sessions only, but right now I happen to be at the site, so I'm able to do some
further testing. The following holds:
sleep on SSH, kill on SSH: not working

Same here. CTRL-C handling on SSH works again, I don't see zombies, but
poweroff hangs at checking for unattended upgrades .. * asking all remaining
processes to terminate . No CTRL-ALT-DEL or anything else helps in this state,

usually remove the wacom-entries from xorg.conf whenever i install ubuntu

This problem seems to be quite volatile, sometimes it works and sometimes it
doesn't. However I'm _sure_ that no firefox or firefox-bin process was running
(I'm not a noob, and as I said, ps -A | grep firefox returned nothing).

I can confirm that it works if you do any action to the existing
partition layout, or only a pseudo-action, like changing the usage of
a partition and then change it back. This makes ubuntu at least
installable, to the insiders ..

LVM partitioning does not work with edgy beta alternative
Another problem, connected to this one, appears if you choose the same
boot-Partition for ubuntu as for another distro (like I do because of
LVM root-partitions): All the kernels from the other distro appear as
Ubuntu-Kernels, and my original grub-settings are gone.

I just ran into this by chance: If you click about in the current
tsclient of edgy eft and then want to close the info window that pops
up, you can't do that with the close button, which has no effect, but
have to use the window decoration's close function.

Binary package hint: partman-lvm
I try to install Ubuntu Edgy Beta using LVM partitions, so I downloaded
the alternative install CD. However when I select Configure the Logical
Volume Manager at Partitioning Disks, the display just flashes and
shows up the same page again.
Thanks, I'll try that hint. By the way, the error isn't present in the
dapper alternative CD. Also, what I just tested, it works with recent
debian testing installer discs.
