I've probably found temporary solution to the problem.
Delete (or edit) file ~/.local/share/gnome-main-menu/applications.xbel.
Looks like the application has problem with orphaned entries...

use fontconfig and generic 'sans' font instead?

I completly agree with Andres. Without these patches many of Intel
newest IGP (GMA X4500) will not be accelerated for at least half a
year. Considering the fact that this xorg driver are the only one having
full OpenSource 3D acceleration support from the producer, this is very
pity.

Don't know, probably just the kernel part, cause updating the driver to
the latest development version doesn't resolve the problem.
P.S.: There should be NoAccel turned on in the former message, of

Libtool 1.5.22-4 doesn't behave like it's predecessors. It fails to
build libraries whose install path does not end with the same path as is
said in configure phase. I use to build packages from sources to
/usr/local, but install them to /usr/local/stow/package-version
