Thaddaeus, sorry but I don't understand how is this invalid when the default
out-of-the-box configuration is broken?
I am pretty sure that most of the users, like myself, did not explicitly choose
or configure light-locker, we just got it by default when upgrading to 14.04.
Thank you for
Here too on chrome 40.0.2214.94 (64-bit) on xubuntu 14.04.1.

Public bug reported:
On a Macbook Air 2013 (6,2), I used to run Mint 16 XFCE (natively, not via
virtualization), and had my external Samsung display happily running at its max
resolution of 2560x1440 via a HDMI adapter.
I confirmed the same resolution can be obtained when booting Xubuntu 13.10
Confirmed same resolution limitation exists in 14.10.

Binary package hint: ubuntustudio-audio
The method of setting realtime priority fixed by #206493 has a simple flaw: It
calls python rtprio.py.
This works fine as long as ubuntu's default version of python is the first one
found on $PATH.
Otherwise, it fails like so:

Update: It actually seems pretty unreliable to me currently. On some
boots, the touchpad works. About 50% of the time, nothing.
When things work, I will see the touchpad found in dmesg | grep -i alps, and
also lshal | grep -i alps.
Other times, I will boot the same kernel and get no matches
