I'm seeing the same thing after the recent update to Thunderbird 78.11.
Ubuntu 21.04 on Wayland. x11 is ok. In my case it appears to be related

Any hope for this bug? A look at the corrupted json suggests that
networkd-dispatcher is assembling it by parsing log entries (?!?!?).
Something about my environment must be generating log entries that fit
the filters it is using but are normally not present (or many others
would be complaining).
Disabling the (execute disable bit) xd bit in bios and disabling the
virtual machine options in bios appears to greatly have improved these
issues (at least for now) there arent many bios options on this
motherboard (including none at all for the ram) and at present I am not
sure which of these
Just a note for anyone running MediaWiki, where this problem causes
pages to hang for several minutes until 'convert' times out. I worked
around the problem by installing rsvg (apt install librsvg2-bin) and
setting $wgSVGConverter = 'rsvg' in LocalSettings.php

So far things booted up fine. Since this was an intermittent (albeit often)
issue, it will take a few days of my use to fully evaluate.

these are the latest Nvidia packages as listed in my Synaptic app on Ubuntu
18.04? Does that make sense?
I will back up my OS prior as I alway maintain a nightly backup of my OS
via ZFS snapshots.
