Public bug reported: On 12.04 both alpha 1 and 2, the spindown of laptop harddisk is very frequent. Mostly few times per minute. It is annoying and I suppose it can cause damage to the harddisk. Last but not least it does not save battery life. Thank you for considering to change default values.
