ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 20.04
Package: linux-image-5.4.0-48-generic 5.4.0-48.52
This change also affects libgadu for me, it can't connect to Gadu-Gadu instant
messenger network. The same CA causes the problem (Certum Trusted Network CA).
Fails: gnutls-cli --priority 'NORMAL:%PROFILE_MEDIUM'
ggproxy-secure-12.gadu-gadu.pl:443
Works: gnutls-cli --priority 'NORMAL'
I am affected too. While the window flashes, the console prints out a
lot of:
gtk_widget_size_allocate(): attempt to allocate widget with width -5
and height 15
about once per flash.

I had troubles with DNS resolution in last days after reboot and I think
it may be related to resolvconf package update. I spotted following
entries in resolvconf-pull-resolved.service journal:
mar 14 09:30:01 *** systemd[1]: resolvconf-pull-resolved.service: Start request
repeated too quickly.
I've booted Ubuntu 14.04.5 from the LiveUSB prepared using:
dd if=ubuntu-14.04.5-desktop-amd64.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=4M
and couldn't reproduce the problem with my 1212U.
In case of openSUSE a very similar problem has appeared to be caused by
the tlp package (and its /usr/lib/udev/tlp-usb-udev bash
The workaround with a power management (keeping scanner turned on) is supposed
to be handled by a udev rule. If you check
/etc/udev/rules.d/
there should be a rule with something like:
ENV{libsane_matched}=="yes", RUN+="/bin/sh -c 'if test -e
/sys/$env{DEVPATH}/power/control; then echo on >

Right at this moment, using 13.10, I can no longer observe this bug. I
am using the `radeon` driver on exactly the same hardware, and
apparently things work quite well.

update-ccache-symlinks stopped to include cross compilers since their
moved from /usr/lib/gcc to /usr/lib/gcc-cross. The attached patch for
update-ccache-symlinks seems to fix this.
** Also affects: gcc-4.7-armel-cross (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Also affects: ccache
I can confirm this bug persists in Ubuntu 13.04.
