No, the clock is correct. It has also been synced with the internet

I should be suprised by these things, but i'm not anymore.

I've nominated this for server-papercuts. Although it's not that
important, it's sort of annoying that ruby scripts can't deal with
curses properly when using 1.9. It means no diakonos, but worse: no io
terminal based ruby scripts.
Also, outside of this bug scope, (i'm sorry to put this here) but
Ruby 1.9 needs libncurses-dev as a build-dependency.
Who is maintaining the package? This should be a very easy fix.

It didn't work (and made lsusb hang!) and gave the same -110 error in dmesg

The james-snijder packages work on my jaunty-64 box using the gstreamer output.
Some video's don't play (they halt miro until I do killall pulseaudio), but
those video's do the exact same thing when played with totem. So it's just the
normal pulseaudio nightmare that Jaunty is turning into.

But what is more shocking is that turning auto-login on can cause
these kinds of side-effects in the first place.
Somehow the design/architecture of gdm is such that there can be a
difference between an auto-started session and a session where you
login manually.
