Thanks for reporting. The upgrade is failing due to custom PPA's installed on
your system. I recommend removing them, and their packages, before trying the

No problem. If apt-get works then it is a problem with the update-manager
after all. I would like to help you in completely removing update-manager and
reinstalling it fresh to see if that solves the problem. Would you like to try
it?

Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately I will be away again until Sunday
July 3rd. Please do the following and I will be sure to check up on
this again when I return.
1) Post the output of:
apt-cache policy xserver-xorg-video-intel
2) Try the upgrade again and when it fails, attach the apt.log
