Forgot the command line.  Have windows 10 preinstalled and am trying to install 
Ubuntu 16.04 alongside in multiboot.  17.04 beta sort of worked.  It was great 
until I chose Windows 10 boot manager, then I lost the capability to boot into 
unbuntu.  The partitions were found on install of 16.04.
Anyway, sorry, there was a grub-install error on the hard drive.
