When connecting to a Microsoft Exchange 2003 server in Evolution will
crash with a Segmentation fault.
It appears it crashes when a send/receive runs. It will however
authenticate with the server okay during the initial configuration

I agree, I'd have thought there shouldn't be an option for Windows XP on
the grub menu, I would assume it would do the same as a single install
of Ubuntu and boot automatically into the default kernel.

Sorry forgot to add (not sure if it's helpful or not), the command line
it comes up with for the Windows XP option in Grub which doesn't work
is:
insmod ntfs
set root=(hd0,1)
search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set a8e4f4ebe4f4bc9e
drivemap -s (hd0) $root
chainloader +1

Grub menu displays
Just occurred for me on Ubuntu 9.10 (final release) running on the
LiveCD environment from a USB stick. It appeared after logging into
Empathy with my MSN account details and selected show offline buddies.

Nope, I don't have the problem now. It was related to the network card
on my motherboard using a Realtek 8110 chipset. In Ubuntu 7.10 I
resolved the problem by using the Realtek driver from their web site

Installed Ubuntu 7.04 from Desktop CD on brand new hard drive on IBM
ThinkPad r50e laptop.
Installed fine, created 20GB / partition (/dev/sda1), 98,999MB /home
partition (/dev/sda2), 1028MB Swap partition (/dev/sda3).
