I can confirm this issue also occurs on a new installation of Jaunty with cGmail 0.5 installed. Installation of python 2.5 (the python2.5 package) and changing cGmail to use python2.5 - by changing the first line of the /usr/bin/cgmail and /usr/bin/cgmailservice scripts allows cGmail to start.

Just confirming this bug occurs also with rhythmbox when a song is initially played, paused then played, but not when switching straight between songs. Using a Lenovo x61 laptop with intel hd audio (and conexant hsfmodem drivers) The t61 and x61 laptops are apparently almost identical hardware
