There are problems with both iso's, both the live CD and the alternate.
The live CD produces the blank dialogue boxes which make an install
impossible. The alternate will install ok, but produces an installation
with a blank screen and except for the cursor.

This file, when placed in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/ does work, in
that the graphical user interface appears looking quite normal.
/etc/X11/xorg.conf (the generic driver) was removed for this run.

#1) No, not as far as I can recall. I'm guessing but I think it began
to appear somewhere in the last week of August.
#2) On the 250 Gig hard drive where I was attempting the install, there
was a previous build of Lubuntu 12.10 and Ubuntu 12.04, each occupying

To add more to my comment above:
Greg suggested doing a particular keypress combination ( cntl-
AppleCommand-T) while Plymouth was loading. That put us into a CLI of
sorts, and eventually the live disk desktop loaded cleanly. All the
problems reported above went away.
Did an install to my main
Quit the installation? in the centre, and the usual - + X
buttons at the right.
All of this with today's build running an an eMac G4 PPC running at 1.2
Ghz - 4 Gig Ram - 80 Gig hard drive.
Should I be filing bug reports, or are these issues already known?

During the test case noted above, I had attached to my eMac an external
USB drive which I use to boot OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard) if I need to.
Before a subsequent attempt to install the same build on the same
machine, I removed the external USB drive. Yaboot then installed
correctly.
