Installed 2009u-1 on Karmic, worked fine.
$ date -d now
Sun Jan 3 01:03:05 BDT 2010
$ date -d -1week
Sun Dec 27 02:03:10 BDST 2009
$ date -d 1week
Sun Jan 10 01:03:26 BDT 2010
Please release the patch for Karmic and earlier versions.

DST ends in Bangladesh
Tested on a different machine running Karmic, 2009u from karmic-proposed
works fine.
The new DST rule (starting March 31 and ending October 31) is also
working.
Thanks a lot Martin, hoping it will be pushed to -updates very soon.

DST ended in Bangladesh on 31st December 2009, clocks retreated to 23:00
at midnight (back to GMT +6 from GMT +7).
Please update the tzdata package to reflect this change.

Update:
Clock will go back an hour on October 1, as DST scheme for this year
ends on September 30.
The next DST one-hour time shift will be on April 1 next year.

Tested on Jaunty. DST is working now, but the zone name becomes BDST
after June 19th, which should be BDT.

Here's a fix:
1) Open the following file as root: /etc/X11/xkb/keycodes/xfree86
2) Find the line DELE = 107
3) Replace it with DELE = 242
4) Find the line I72 = 242
5) Replace it with I72 = 107
6) Save and reboot, delete key will now work.
Tested on Extensa 5620 running Hardy.
