Are there any other side effects as a result of using
__GL_YIELD="USLEEP" or KWIN_TRIPLE_BUFFER=1? Will tearing be prevented
on all connected monitors? Is there a performance hit?
At the moment, I'm using the following to get rid of tearing on Kubuntu

I have performed two installs of Kubuntu 17.10 (final) on two separate
computers (one laptop, one desktop) with the home folder encryption
option, and both have worked fine. Both startup and shutdown are fast,
as expected.

I have installed the bluez4-ssp as instructed. It works, however, there
is some weirdness. When I Set up new device and then select the K810
keyboard in the list and press the Continue button, it briefly shows
one 6 digit PIN number before showing the second one.

component of the operating system. Not being able to reliably mount and
unmount SFTP and/or Samba resources makes performing every day

I have this problem too on Ubuntu 14.04 desktop. I do not have nautilus-
open-terminal installed. It occurs for me quite frequently - about every
third or fourth time after mounting then unmounting a samba share within
Nautilus.
I have to killall -9 nautilus before I can try to mount the Samba

I have the same problem. While using UXA results in the titlebars being
rendered correctly, it seems to drain the battery much quicker.

I have a Samsung Series 7 Chronos (NP700Z7C-S02UK) and have this
problem. I'm not willing to run Linux on my laptop while this issue
exists because it's thrashing my fan and making my laptop run hot.

HDD - a Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid (which has 4GB of SSD and uses a
cashing algorithm). I tried upgrading the firmware on the Momentus XT to
D25, but this only made my networking problems in 11.04 worse. Doing a
