For some reason, winegcc is included in the wine1.4 package instead of
in a more sane development package.
Anyway, wine1.4 does not depend on the requisite gcc-4.5 which seems to
be required by winegcc, which is an included binary. This binary thus
fails to run after

Alt+F4 (kill terminal)
(start new terminal)
dtach -A vim vim
(kill terminal, start new terminal, etc, should not take too long for the bug
to manifest)
What I expect to happen:
vim shows up and is usable

I have actually replaced my WiFi card in my laptop (so that I could get
802.11a support), and have not had the problem with the new card, but
even on the old card it had not happened in awhile, so it may well be
fixed.

I would also like to vote for this to be upgraded from Wishlist. I
know a large number of people in Africa who are willing to use Ubuntu,
but cannot right now because of the abismal (that is: no) dial up

After I have killed X and logged back in, if I then run sudo /lib/udev
/alsa-utils, my sound gets muted again

If I comment out the lines in /etc/init.d/alsa-utils starting at 361
which read:

Then I can run
In Karamic I commented out line 378 of /etc/init.d/alsa-utils, and my
sound is no longer muted after I log in.
However, I still get no actual sound output until I kill X and log back
in.

When running Psi, it causes Xorg to pin the CPU 80%, sometimes 90%.
I've tried the latest Git and also the version from the Ubuntu repos.
It did not used to be like this... it used to work fine all the time.
It is since the upgrate to Jaunty, and I

it caused very broken behaviour, so I took it out. 0.12 UI worked, but
the CPU pinning was still there. Now I'm back on my original Git
version and still don't have the gnupg plugin installed... no change

I am also running Ubuntu Edgy Eft and had a similar problem. I cannot
100% verify that it is caused by picking up two items that are very
close to each other, however I either had tried to do that or was about
to when the program crashed. I have attached the full report generated
by Ubuntu.
