Yes. The console did Hang - I followed the also the part specifically dedicated to remote connections through ssh, but it did hang too. BTW - in debugging mode - as soon as you start openoffice - and open a Menu in OO - X takes 100% CPU Time and the system becomes unresponsive too :} Was reprodu

OK - I tried again - as I was able to reset the screen so it flickers again. Problem - as soon as I attach gdb from the Command-line on the same machine - the X-Server becomes unresponsive. If I do it from a remote machine through ssh - using the keeptty and dumbSched options, the X-Server stops.
