After upgrading to Ubuntu 13.04 the Firefox window is modal and cannot
be resized. It can only be moved with Alt-left mouse key. I also
experience sound problems.

After I have upgraded to Ubuntu 13.04 I first had a problem with my
screen, it showed black with a cross cursor and nothing else. I got that
fixed by installing latest NVIDIA drivers.
Now, when I run gedit form a terminal I get the following message:

The JAVA package in Octave 3.2.4 is looking for
/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/jre/lib/amd64/client/libjvm.so, however the path
in Ubuntu 11.04 Natty refers to a path /usr/../server/libjvm.so.
I have tried a symbolic link to the non-existent path with the following
result:

This is what happens: Say I want to add a line in my text (.m file) then
the following will happen:
enter: to create an empty line (actually could just as well type something)
enter: for next line and type something; one

To shed further light on my problem, I add this from the Octave
terminal:

On my 11.04 Natty x86-64 I still get this message:

Further to my previous comment: Although I only experience problems with
QtOctave where it seems that the windows (in Octave) are not refreshed
properly, I also observe that my desktop is not always refreshed
properly. Anybody else experiencing problems? At the moment I cannot use
QtOctave at all.
I have just upgraded to Nutty from Maverick (64bit). I also now
experience problems with the windows in QtOctave. It just worked
perfectly under Maverick. Any progress on this bug?

Have doen it already in Synaptic. Have followed your instruction and used sudo
apt-get install --reinstall flashplugin-installer
however the result is the same error code.

I have a similar problem with Maverick, every time I that I do an
update/upgrade I get the following message:
ldconfig deferred processing now taking place
/sbin/ldconfig.real: /usr/lib/libjspTru64Alpha.so is not an ELF file - it has
the wrong magic bytes at the start.
/sbin/ldconfig.real:
I run Ubuntu 10.10 on a 64-bit system and just got the same error after
the latest update (Aug, 31)

After upgrading to kernel 2.6.32-24 my system did not boot. After press
and hold Shift the previous version of the kernel was selected and the
system booted successfully, except that the network and internet was
down. All systems therefore did not initialised.
