Confirmed in ubuntu 13.04 (x86 and x86-64). In claws or sylpheed which
are gtk2 applications, some modal boxes can become unresponsive with
scrollbar overlay installed (add a proper filter in claws to reproduce).
Everything works back to normal when the scrollbar ovrelay is removed.

[Natty] Evolution
Ok, got it. My father's computer was able to handle at acceptable speed
previous versions of ubuntu, now it's impossible as ubuntu is too heavy.
Will switch my father's computer to another distro. Will try
Xubuntu/Lunbuntu though.

Could not test it. Pulseaudio/totem bug with soundblaster live card:
pulseaudio eats 50% of CPU (Duron 700MHz). Additionnally I had to remove
xapian indexing (python apt thingy) stuff as it eats CPU and fairly too
much *resident* memory (100 MB for a 400MB system).

I'll see if de-interlacing is fast enough for his CPU with that new

I cleaned the /var/log/messages and I reproduce the bug:
1 - I plug the USB2 mass storage device.
2 - I wait till it's mounted and till nautilus automatically shows me its
content.
3 - I eject the USB2 mass storage device. But I do not uplug it.
4 - I try to mount it again -- error no device
VERBATIM usb mass storage mount output
No partition.

I tried a third usb mass storage device, but ext3 formatted this time
and without partition(/dev/sda)... no issue to mount it after ejecting
without unpluggin it.

IMHO USB PTP seems less troublesome for dealing with cameras. Feel free to add

I have an HP 3500c scanner. I did compile the driver from CVS on Debian Ubuntu
Breezy (powerpc), and I used it.
It's still not a part of sane drivers in Debian Ubuntu Dapper. Could you
include it? thx.
