Ubuntu installed on external USB HDD - crash happened while system was not
being activly used - during the night.
I suspect this is due to Nvidia drivers recently installed as system was stable
prior to Nvidia propriatry drivers being installed.

- I have installed Ubuntu Gnome on USB HDD - shutdown always hangs on black
screen - power off to recover then Ubuntu does full HDD check on next start
I have tried sudo shutdown and this also hangs at black screen.
