Public bug reported:
A Karmic test box boots fine with 2.6.31-2 generic kernel. However, when
booting with 2.6.31-3 generic kernel, there is no display. However,
everything else appears to function correctly.
relevant dmesg output:
[1.507428] Linux agpgart interface v0.103
[1.512917]
I think it would be a good idea to add a sense of a permanent change. I
suggest something like Permanently Install Ubuntu or Install Ubuntu
Permanently. I favour the first one as it scans better.

Enigmail: 2:0.95.7-1ubuntu2
although I suspect the version numbers don't matter as it is likely to
be an issue with compiz

I've added your PPA and upgraded. Unfortunately, I can't now get the
nowplaying screenlet to launch despite trying a few things:
Rebooted
Switched compiz off / on
reset the config for the nowplaying screenlet
I've also tried altering the view to show running screenlets and the

This may not be a genuine bug and it is just a minor annoyance. I have
the new screen-profiles package installed and running in Jaunty and set
