Confirmed In 8.04 / 32 bit, I have the same problem exactly. Upstream qemu
binary package works fine with smp.
I'll check debian later.

It looks like debian was not affected and bug is probably ubuntu-unique.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: erlang-doc-html
It is impossible in gutsy to install erlang-doc-html without removing erlang!
(BTW, in sid it works just fine). Maybe Conflicts: erlang-doc is wrong?
(Gutsy was upgraded from 7.04, so maybr it is just my problem)
$ sudo apt-get install
It looks like the bug 70745 in Edgy. So it remains unfixed for year.

Me to. Upgrade to gutsy via dist-upgrade (N times).
2.6.20 works with gutsy, 2.6.22 does not.

3) after apt-get remove evms it fails to boot because
Public bug reported:

When I switching from eth1 (wi-fi/dhcp) to eth0 (wire/dhcp), konqueror
stops working with network.
Everything other works just fine (firefox, ping, traceroute, apt-get etc).
ifconfig looks ok (only eth0 presents) and route -n show normal
Oh, I forgot to mention that this problem appeared when I upgraded my system to
feisty.
And I got knetworkmanager running.

Some additional observations.
1. Kopete connects to ICQ and works fine.
But clicking on any http-link in message cause next message to appear:
Could not connect to host http://someuser.livejournal.com/bla-bla.html.
2. fish:// works fine with konqueror and krusader! Only http fails.
So I'm sure
