Including the basics (with a screenshoot on how to setup the ekiga.net

It's hard to say what common problems are, I have no statistics, but
as I support Ekiga since more than year now through different means

Hi,
Sure, the best is ubuntu providing updated package for one of his core
element. For me, Ubuntu still a mystery...
We also provide package (2.0.9) for Feisty AMD64:

ekiga is not updated in feisty
I've relayed you call inside the tools the ekiga team has (IRC,
mailling-list). In fact I did it even before. But no one there can do
that. That means our packages will have no support from Ubuntu (that's
perfectly normal) and won't have good support from the ekiga team too.
This is just a bad
Hi,
In the meantime, you can use 2.0.9 on Feisty (x86):

Hello Matt Zimmerman,
Maybe because Ubuntu is mainstream...

It is just growing and growing right now.

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 76301 ***
As you said, it is easy to spot though and marking them take like a
minute. I guess you can manage more than 300 duplicates in 2 months
easily too like the ekiga dev team is currently doing. Right ?

Hi,
A few words to let you know the linux kernel 2.6.18 includes pwc 10.0.12
, then what is this story about patents ? It is good enough for linux,

Hum... Version 9.0.2 is the last version of the old driver, see
http://www.smcc.demon.nl/webcam/
Since then, Luc Saillard has forked the free part of the driver and
added decompression (which was done previously by a binary part of the
old driver pwcx). http://www.saillard.org/linux/pwc/
Seems,
93984 0
IMHO, this should be considered as a proof pwc is broken on Edgy.
As compiling the driver solve the problem, an update of the kernel should be
considered by the kernel maintener for Edgy.
