remove the half-installed packages by forcing dependencies.
sudo dpkg --remove --force-remove-reinstreq --force-depends package-
name

After installing uniconverter 1.1.5 and Inkscape you need to run the (modified)
patch as described in Bug 656938.
This will update the uniconverter included in inkscape to the latest version

all lights on keyboard remain on, screen goes blank, when i move the mouse, the
login screen appears asking for login password.
