subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit

Karmic amd64 clean installation (no upgrade)
after all the visual effect setting did not matter, it's still freezing in none
mode. it took time to finish up this sentence as it was freezing all long.

upgrade'. when run from the command line, the same thing happens and there is
