Hi, I just tried Ubuntu 10.10, version from 26.08.2010 and the bug is still
present - all I get from my Sound Blaster VX is only irritating noise.
I tried to run apport-collect, but unfortunatelly the network (wireless)
doesn't work for my on this version and everything keeps crashing all the

(see attachment). Package is still named r1023, but the date has changed
(from 0928 to 1118) and of course the source code. I'm using it right
now and it works much more stable for me than the old one, although I'm
