Confirmed also on MSI U230, it's only possible to establish good quality link
connection in a near Access Point area, say 2-4 meters. Anywhere outside this
area I get asked about the password configuration, and this happens despite the
WiFi status icon indicating 100% link quality.

It also doesn't work under Asus F5M series notebook - after upgrade. Volume
doesn't change at all, as well as it doesn't mute.
