actualy I did try just now.. Im I just supposed to run this with not arguments? I put the set -x but I see it need some arguments $1 in that script. In anycase i see it handles it without the arguments.. Here is the output + echo postinst called with unknown argument `' postinst called with

I did a little investigation and found the functions required are only loaded when using configure they are in . /usr/share/debconf/confmodule Could this be my issue ? here is the output when i rand this with the configure parameter + . /usr/share/debconf/confmodule + [ ! ] +

I had some NFS mounts but not where this is installed. It must have something to do with either the upgrade or the combination of me moving my home to seperate partition just before upgrade. Mythtv seems to work ok its just when i install something synaptic seems to try to upgrade or check
