I cannot believe comment #9. When I try to view this document
http://www.hems.de/Allgemeinbildung/FormelsammlungPhysikMechanik.pdf ,
evince only shows garbage on the screen. This bug got never fixed.
That's why I prefer xpdf.

I upgraded my system to Hardy with improved ATI drivers. Now everything
works fine. I think the problem didn't exist with the static version,
but there was some other problem (speed? crashes? I don't remember.)
which made the static version unusable as well.

Binary package hint: wings3d
1) In gutsy start wings3d from terminal
2) wings3d starts with error message (see below)
3) Add a body or change view or do anything else : User interface freezes or
reacts slowly
4) No problems with feisty version

Confirmed.Feisty on IBM Thinkpad T42, ATI Radeon 7500. All other OpenGL
software works perfectly. This bug makes blender unusable.
