As I said before, with the new version I still have this problem (but not related to wpa or suspend/resume). When the system boots I get right away 100% cpu and must kill NetworkManager. I tried reinstalling the packages for NM several times and it doesn't work. I'm alone on that boat it seems?

You were right! gnome mouse properties does affect now synaptics driver. The tap was set to off there (like I like it). enabling it fixed the problem, without enabling needlessly one-finger tap. This can be closed now, my mistake. -- synaptics tap problem (MaxTapTime)
