there's no way or me to test it.
I can only say that this bug was there since forever, and I mean through many
kernel upgrades, and even when I used gentoo before ubuntu. I would suppose a
normal kernel upgrade
unfortunately i think this kernel did not build correctly on all archs,
for me powerpc - there's no change.

Thanks, this patch indeed makes gnome-power-manager able to suspend. But
when I suspend through it, the screen goes black, and everything in fact

I'm bumping again. Would like to know how we can fix this. uswsusp in
ubuntu has removed s2ram because it's 'not sensible in ubuntu'. A move
that by itself seems insensible to me, if this is the missing tool that
causes suspend to be broken on these machines.

'screeenlets-daemon' is actually started twice according to 'ps ax'.

just today. I am also using wpa psk with a linksys wrt54g router.

When I scroll in firefox with this touchpad (apple ibook) using two-

Installing hardy from livecd I ended up with a system that lacks lots of
functionality, to the point of regression. Many of them I traced to be
recommends that were not automatically installed by the livecd. So far I had to
manually install libgl1-mesa-dri for 3d support
What do you mean by do a rsync? I simply downloaded the livecd from
21-2-08. I also had to update the packages on the cd before the install
because there was a bug in ubiquity that caused a hang in the install.
After the update I just did a normal install.

install on the system still the problem persists... I keep the /home
partition so maybe it is still related to it? on the other hand a newly
created user had the same problem...

I have reinstalled with an image from 29022008 and I still have the same
problem. I have lots of lacking functionality (which some of is
available on the livecd). I have to manually install stuff like
powernowd, mesa, bluetooth - all of which are recommended by already
installed packages or meta
I am not sure if my problem is the same, I have an iBook G4 1.42Ghz. powernowd
doesn't start on so I don't have cpufreq. But for me it seems the problem is a
init script problem since I can later manually run in terminal:
sudo powernowd
and it works great.
Other than that also therm_adt746x
indeed the error itself doesn't show up anymore on boot or service
start, but the bug itself isn't fixed - powernowd still won't start
automatically. Only when I run manually in a terminal 'sudo powernowd'
does cpufreq work again.

suspend at all - it's no longer an option in gnome-power-manager. also
according to pm-is-suspend suspend is unavailable. if i manually suspend

As I said before, with the new version I still have this problem (but
not related to wpa or suspend/resume). When the system boots I get right
away 100% cpu and must kill NetworkManager. I tried reinstalling the
packages for NM several times and it doesn't work. I'm alone on that
boat it seems?
Also here on a powerpc system. Just for me with slideshow it shows a small box
and blurry inside, i couldn't maximize it and after a few moments f-spot
crashes.
I also noticed that totem firefox plugin doesn't go to fullscreen but just
shows a small box. The normal totem window goes fullscreen

tap was set to off there (like I like it). enabling it fixed the problem,
without enabling needlessly one-finger tap.

I also have this problem where I must do
sudo iwconfig eth0 ap any
for network-manager to work properly. This is with open network. When I set wpa
encryption I can't connect at all.

It didn't work for me in dapper, but as I already said it did work in gentoo
many months ago before I switched to dapper.
It might be a good idea to try and use the more recent mesa release versioned:
6.5.2. Unfortunately I couldn't find a deb for that, and I don't know how to
make one...

Yes. I'm not sure what's the difference between the two packages, but i
think the ubuntu one is a snapshot before the official release, there's
must be some changes between the two snapshots. Either that or it's a
packaging problem.

3d rendering performance regression Dapper-Edgy with Radeon 9600 M10
I used prevu to backport gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg from feisty to my edgy,
and so far it seems h264 are playing great. Please consider fixing this
issue by backporting a newer version of the ffmpeg gst plugin into
edgy/dapper repositories.
