Here are the steps which I followed.
Created VM with the below command.
virt-install \
--connect qemu:///system \
--name ixa00400270_002 \
--memory 4096 \
--vcpus 16,sockets=1,cores=8,threads=1 \
--noautoconsole \
--disk path=/vm/images/ixa00385352_002.img \
** Information type changed from Private Security to Public Security
** Information type changed from Public Security to Public

Same problem here. Reverting to 4.4.0-72 fixed the issue.

I can confirm I'm recently facing the same issue. Not sure this is a
graphics driver issue. Might have happened just after a kernel update.
uname -a shows :
Linux ggalibert-Latitude-E4310 3.2.0-58-generic #88-Ubuntu SMP Tue Dec 3
17:37:58 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Ubuntu 12.04
unity --version shows :
unity 5.20.0
and in /var/log/apt/history.log I can see unity has been updated the 10
January :
Start-Date: 2014-01-10 09:54:33
Commandline: aptdaemon role='role-commit-packages' sender=':1.59'
Upgrade: unity:amd64 (5.20.0-0ubuntu2, 5.20.0-0ubuntu3), libxfixes3:amd64
