I have this issue with my Lenovo Thinkpad W500. The numlock light is not
on and they keys do not register as numbers, but the warning remains.
If I put numlock on (and the light goes on) it works as it should.
However it warns me when numlock is not on, that it is on.

I would like to clarify that the numlock warning has been on on this
computer for at least a week, and there's no way to disable it.
Restarting the computer does not remove the warning even though numlock
is never turned on on my laptop.

If you look closely you can see that the connecting animation for
network manager in Karmic is uneven and inconsistent on every other
spin, which degrades the appearance of the animation.

I've got the exact same problem. I was impressed by the Clutter graphics
but saddened to find out they only worked with Metacity.
amd64 Karmic Koala, with ATI proprietary fgrlx driver.

It's unfortunate that this happens, but any way to disable the clutter
graphics while desktop effects are running until the fgrlx bug is fixed?
As it is, it's unplayable with standard Karmic settings, and a new user
would be stumped.

Though the open source driver is good, it is unfortunately very slow
compared to the proprietary driver (to the point where flash videos in
full screen are not watchable).
