A work around is to install and use a virtual frame buffer. Instructions
below with others who have the same requirement:
1) Install xvfb (X Virtual Frame Buffer)
sudo apt-get install xvfb
2) Start a virtual frame buffer and switch your terminal onto it. Note
the capitalization of Xvfb below,
