Ted, just FYI, it is both the media skip buttons (forwards and backwards) as well as the stop button and the play/pause buttons. Your d-bus instructions are a little confusing to me or else I would run them myself for you, but perhaps if you install and run amarok you can check it for yourself. I

That is a good point, I changed it to indicator-applet now mostly just in hopes of generating some more steam in getting this fixed. Hard to say whether it is indicator-applets fault for not finding the icons, or Amarok/KDEs fault for always being so darn incompatible with gnome. it makes me sad
