Hello Paul, There are no error messages, the system just freezes, no reaction. If I ping or ssh to the system no response either, all packages I ping are lost. So, I do not see any way how to get more info. Meanwhile, this happens about once a week. It seems to occur when I leave a lot of Firefox

Actually, I managed to restore the system after running fsck. I also had Opera installed which I removed. At the moment Ubuntu 9.04 64 bit runs stable and I can use the wireless. Also I can hibernate and suspend but sometimes after suspend the caps lock light starts blinking. So I do not have a
