How about checking the existence of the files and subtracting the non-
existant count from the number of index hits before displaying it? That
will get rid of the confusion I suppose. Also how about showing all the
indexed files, with the ones that have been removed as gray? May be with
a check
Sorry but it did not work for me. When I rebooted after removing auto
eth0, I lost Internet connection. I had to put the line back to get it
working again.

Network Manager claims devices are unmanaged
I have a wired connection to the Internet. Here's my
/etc/network/interfaces (which is still giving the problem, and not
connecting to Internet if I remove auto eth0):
$ cat /etc/network/interfaces
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
iface eth0 inet static

netmask 255.255.255.0
Public bug reported:
I have Hardy Heron latest update till date (25th Nov, 2008).
The World Clock applet has incorrect time zone information for New
Delhi/Palam. Delhi is India's capital, and hence follows IST. However
the clock synchronizes it with NPT (Nepal's time), which is 15 minutes
ahead.
Issue persists. I've removed the tracker and will reinstall once the
problem is resolved. Probably this should be removed from Intrepid too,
in case the bug is not fixed by then - so that new users do not have any
misgivings.

1) I just had the same problem in a Windows PC. So it seems like a
Firefox problem. Am using FF3 with Windows XP SP3.
2) The following configuration change seemed to have solved it:
browser.sessionstore.enabled = true
The value was false when the problem was occurring. You can change that
from
Scott,
I've already followed that advice and deleted the 70-persistent-net.rules file
by hand. Could you please tell us a little more about what effect deleting it
might have, and how one can solve that problem for those who already have done
it.
Arnab.

Emmanuel, it's not a bug. This is called En Passant, and is legal but
the least known moves in Chess. It occurs when you put forward your pawn
(soldier), and on the *very next* move enemy pawn ahead of the pawn you
moved goes diagonally and captures your pawn.
You can read more about it here:
Changing status to invalid as this is a legal move in chess.

Reindexing did not fix it for me. Nor did reinstalling, or uninstalling and
again installing.
I've had this problem since Gutsy. As far as I remember, this problem popped up
when I experemented with KDE, and then removed KDE. I've upgraded to Hardy now,
and the bug was still there.

Sorry, but it has not actually been fixed yet. What I just discovered is
that it works for the search of 'test', however it fails again for a
search of - for example - 'ubuntu', in the same manner. It shows All
Files (23) and the right arrow for scrolling, but displayed no results.
Also searching
Sorry for posting again, a reindexing now seems to have fixed it
altogether! I did reindex before, but then it did not work. Seems
installing 'tracker-utils' was the catalyst. I'll report back tomorrow
if something went wrong again - no more posts today.

I am running Hardy, and I am facing the exact same problem with a
desktop system. This monitor used to shutdown/standby for Gutsy,
however. Now with or without the screen saver it does not shutdown.
Attached is the out of `gnome-power-manager --no-daemon --verbose`.

I'm using Hardy, same problem here on desktop. Even though I've set
display to sleep after 2 minutes, the screen does not go to standby -
instead the screensaver continues to display.
I've attached my `gnome-power-manager --no-daemon --verbose` results.

I am facing the exact same problem on Hardy Heron beta, fully updated so

working just as they should if the files were displayed. This is just as

Well it happened to me, based on the description I feel it's the same
thing. When I right click and close Tomboy from the icon, the bug
reporting pops up. I'm using the latest hardy heron updates, which at
this point is beta. Also using kernel 2.6.24-12-generic on my desktop.
