In fact there is no need for a patch, this behavior is controlled by
laptop-mode. A desktop pc is something like a laptop with ac power
adapter and if you want that acpi don't control hard drives apm you
should edit /etc/laptop-mode/laptop-mode.conf and set
CONTROL_HD_POWERMGMT from 1 to 0.

I can confirm this with jaunty jackalope alpha2 (kernel 2.6.28). If the
firmware is added to linux-firmware package all the dvb-t usb dongles
with afatech 9015 chip will work out of the box.

Just when the nautilus proccess is killed gnome re spawn it, i think i
found some time ago a option to prevent this to happen, but is practical
to leave it on and now i can0t remember where it was. Metacity and
gnome-panel was in the same option set to prevent re spawning.

but it never refresh it during execution, perhaps if ocaml can take the
time from ¿libc? it can refresh it during execution. You can try the bug
by changing your local timezone and check the ml info.

you want more information this mldonkey problem can be related to the
rename completed dowloads feature. Adding the jason's solution to the
initscript config file, while this isn't solved upstream, is the fix for
this bug.

I forget to say that this bugs came from debian, is alredy open in their
bug system and the developer says that this is a mldonkey bug because ml
should not edit the name of the downloads despite of the locale. I think
too that this is a mldonkey bug but for another reason, mldonkey should

I use ubuntu hardy and also debian lenny, i can confirm this bug. In
lenny this is solved time ago, the update from gstreamer 0.18 to 0.19
solved this in my lenny. In intrepid there is the 0.19, it could be
added to hardy-backports or to hardy-updates because there aren't any
substantial changes.
There is a new intrepid version of mldonkey now, the 2.9.5 version, is
possible to install using the same way i said with the gutsy package. Is
very possible that this package is free of this bug because the version
of ocaml in intrepid.

A dirty and more simpler than compile mldonkey by hand is download the
gutsy version, yes 2.9.0, http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy/amd64
/mldonkey-server/download and then sudo dpkg -i mldonkey-
server_2.9.0-1_amd64.deb, apt will automatically replace the
installation of 2.9.3, by now it's working
Actual versions in gutsy or hardy doesn't have this issue.
