11.10 and I am experiencing the same issues, actually is not just the
top-right but all the positions are worse than before.
Example: now left and right just put a window in half the screen, while

I'm kinda sorry but I've no time to test this bug right now, I'm working
at an important project with this computer and cannot install another OS
or kernel, however I haven't had any problem of that kind with Ubuntu
9.10 so far.

* the resolution I get now is 1024x768
* the native resolution of my monitor is 1280x800 and it is a laptop lcd, so it
is connected directly with an inside flat cable
* xrandr and lspci output in later posts
* same for Xorg log with debug enabled

This is the actual log with ModeDebug enabled but I cannot identify where the
problem is really cause now I've rebooted and it's working.

battery but seems is a little bit random, so, sometimes he gets the right

I have an Acer TravelMate 2300, Intepid, Kernel 2.6.27-9-generic and
I've found on my logs lots of this entries:

I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 and amulegui starts but do nothing.
Trying to strace I've found that:

Another very uncool thing is that to have battery support i've
downgraded my kernel to 2.6.20-15... and that kernel has serious

i've found (i think) a problem in feisty, seem that isn't more supported my
battery by acpi, if i insert it nothing happens, there's nothing under
/proc/acpi/battery and i can't use any utility for monitoring

I've installed feisty, all was good untile kernel version 2.6.20-13,
after that there's an acpi module freeze when i try to launch
/etc/init.d/acpid:
[ 260.056000] input: Power Button (FF) as /class/input/input4
[ 260.14] ACPI: Power Button (FF) [PWRF]
[ 260.232000]
Same for me, the boot hangs during modprobe sbs.
If i press enter i can go after, but the whole system is not so reliable from
that moment on.
