Concerning switching the oxygen theme please consider

IMHO there are multiple reasons at the moment causing java applications
to SIGSEGV the reported way. This link shows AFAIS one of them.

I spent this morning on analyzing our application SIGSEGV'ing since
having upgraded my os (openSuSE 13.1, KDE). Though this is actually no
ubuntu, I think that this bug is related: IMHO with the symptoms
If I remember correctly, in my case the problem was caused (a long time
ago already, maybe it is gone already) by nneeding to use a proxy: the
update did not consider the system setting and I had to set it somewhere
in the configuration manually. O rone had to wait for a very long time
(1h), then
I just found the proxy related bug, this is 772531

Title:
Update to latest Release failed for overloaded mirrors with no
descriptive error
Hi,
I went into this today, too. The mirror is *not* overloaded. And the
message appeared even after having purged the ubuntu-minimal package
(another tip I found on googling).
On doing a
sudo do-release-upgrade
in a shell I found a lot of strange messages related to the proxy being
used. The

Hi folks,
I suffer this problem, too - and I think I found something to get the
exchange calendar working again:
in the processes view (in german version the Systemüberwachung) I saw
the e-calendar-factory process hanging with some mutex-wait state
always when evolution hanging on trying to
I can confirm that things improved but with the ppa far not all problems
are gone.
1) Mailing now seems to work in principle without having to start with
--offline
2) there keeps one task endless open searching for changed messages
(Geänderte Nachrichten werden gesucht (zu 100% abgeschlossen))

When upgrading from 10.04 to 10.10, exchange mail accounts no longer work in
Evolution. When clicking the account, the folder structure won't expand and the
account does not send or receive e-mail (although) it does appear in the
send/receive
Ok, it is now better for me, too. The only remaining thing is #2, this
stays still in the footer. At least I can abort this.
The trick was to shutdown manually two additionally processes (I did no
reboot in between), e-addressbook-factory and e-calendar-factory. With

I just ran into this problem. And I can confirm post #6, adding the
pci=nocrs to grub.conf solves the problem. Another workaround is to boot
an older kernel version, some 2.6.34.xxx.
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16228 tells of a patch for fixing
this is available.
And there they

Karmic to Lucid upgrade behind proxy seems to fail/only with two hours delay
At least for the karmic - lucid path the upgrade does work indeed - but
only with waiting for ~2 hours :-(. After this time of waiting the
upgrade works as expected (with using the proxy), see #574439.

Karmic to Lucid upgrade behind proxy seems to fail/only with two hours delay
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: update-manager
The update manager showed the new version 10.04 LTS being available.
Pressing the Upgrade button seemed to freeze it. In wireshark I saw

I can confirm this for Karmic x64 using Phenom X4 925 on GA-MA78G-DS3H.
I upgraded my system to this configuration and wondered the cpu

Stopping powernowd immediately raised frequencies to 2800Mhz (as
expected). Starting again
I can confirm this problem, similar for me (with e.g. Meta-Shift-% for
moving active window to fifth virtual desktop): in the learning mode
of the global shortcut setting for that action it first shows correctly

I can confirm an improvement but not it being fixed:
1) The LDAP lookup in completion when having defined one in Contacts -

only:
a) one need to restart kontact at least on enabling/disabling to make
this change having an effect
I forgot to mention: using Kontact 1.2.9

by what way may I receive the fix for my Dapper installation (KDE

Correction: the author stated that the bug depends on the window
decorations, not the theme as I mixed up before.
And I can confirm this. Switching to the KDE 2 decorations comes around
the bug (switching the theme does not).

Do use the keramik theme? The debian bug's author stated at the very end
