Both are the same wired connection, but eth0 doesn't work for some
reason. Unfortunately, this connection is chosen to be used by NM, so on
each boot I have to manualy disconnect it and connect the other one.

As in summary, booting with upstart works fine. I have autologon
configured, but after the system start I am greeted wit plasma lock
screen instead of the desktop. When I enter my password to unlock, the
screen goes black. Mouse cursor moves and is visible.

happen when idle. Also Nicotine and Apport have similar issues, so maybe

Ok, the bug manifested itself today again, but the log is 33 MB. A I
suspected, the loop devices seems to be the problem. Those are CD
images,and are mounted read only. Mountall warns about it and tries to
remount them in endless loop. I don't know why it happens only
occasionally though.

Imagine, you have virtual machine with two separate virtual hard drives.
There is no way to choose, which hard drive will be used to boot the
system.

Are you expecting virt-manager to change the settings at shut down if you use
a completely different tool to actually do the
shut down?
Exactly that. I was under the impression this is possible. Can't you
share settings, send signals or whatever?

As in summary. Dialog box appears saying, that the settings cannot be
applied immidiately, and they are deffered till the next vm shutdown.
However, when preforming the shutdown, the changes aren't applied.
Shutdown is done by virsh, not virt-manager.
