Please *exactly* reproduce the following steps:
- move the mouse pointer over the volume control in the task bar
- use the mouse wheel to adjust volume
- click the left mouse button

The bug has appeared again some days ago. The bug seems to have come
over night. I had normally shutdown the system and the next day after
booting the panels were missing. Entering xfce4-panel has restored
the panels again.

Have you ever tried to check the checkbox to save the last session in

Installing gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly has solved the problem.
But the question remains why Listen requires this package for playing
MP3 while Totem doesn't need it.
(And if really needed, it should be automatically requested for
installation when trying to play an MP3 the first time.)

Not sure. The user in bug 53897 says I must launch xfce4-panel every
time I start Xubuntu.
But I only had to enter this command once.

FLac, m4a und Videos from YouTube work. But MP3 files are not listed in
