Since a few days I get the traceback as indicated in the bug description.
However, when running the screenlet from the command line, it also says Error
retrieving weather data [Errno socket error] [Errno -2] Name or service not
known. This does not make the screenlet crash, but it says No
I have been experiencing the same problem on my Thinkpad T61. I did a
clean install of Intrepid beta two weeks ago (October 13th), just to
give you an idea of what kernel version I started using. The problem
manifested itself at that time (I upgraded from Gutsy).

using wireless. This led me to believe that this is the bug I am dealing with.
Please let me know what information I would need to provide to more accurately
assess the problem.

It looks like my box is suffering from the same bug, although in Ubuntu
8.04.1 (2.6.24-19). My system also freezes at random apparently, most of
the time leaving no messages in the logs whatsoever. However, I found a
same 'Eeek' message in the logs very recently:

I upgraded from Breezy to Dapper last night. But, right at the end of the
upgrading process, it gave an error and I had no other choice than to abort the
upgrade. I believe the error it gave was an error 3, I don't remember the
description. It was given as it was setting
