I tried to install large selection of fonts and tasksel failed with message:
aptitude failed (100)
I found that installation is possible by installing directly from metapackage:
ubuntustudio-desktop
ubuntustudio-audio-plugins
ubuntustudio-graphics
Problem occured allso when I tried to install Large selection of
fonts(ubuntustudio-font-meta
) from tasksel
Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS
2.6.32-27-generic
x86_64
I tried to update:
sudo apt-get update
sudo aptitude update sudo aptitude -y safe-upgrade
(no errors)
But it didn't resolve the case.

The problem is back again. I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 and after the last upgrade, I
wasn't able to print anymore.
I gave a sudo chmod 777 -R /usr/lib/cups/backend and the printer is already at
work.
The only upgraded packets that concern with printers are:
system-config-printer-common
I have the same problem, but when i give the shutdown command, nothing
happens, no process running is stopped. I have to manually close the
quickstart tray and then I'm able to shutdown the system.
It's a very annoyng bug for everyone who makes a professional use of
Ubuntu.

I re installed clean 7.04 i386 and then used apt-get upgrade to get 7.10.
In shell, apt-get upgrade works just fine and is not rytrying to update.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Desktop$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
I ran adept_manager in terminal and attached output.
I hope it helps.
