You are right, in this case is the print ok. But in larger documents there are
some bugs.
In PDFs with many images is the printer too slow with foomatic. If I print a
simple text out of OpenOffice with many pages it is extremely fast.

If I choose the driver Postscript, it is very slow (one minute per page),

I have a 20 Intel iMac, too.
Both Edgy i386 and Feisty Herd 2 i386 have the same problem.
The boot menue works fine, but X does not work correctly.
The ATI Radeon X1600 destroys the screen completely.
Chosing safe mode in the boot menu did not do the trick.
